Memorial Day Weekend 2024

Saturday, May 25th: We will Rally at the Shady Cove Chevron at 10:00. The Rally Point address is 21222 OR-62, Shady Cove, OR 97539. Space at the store is limited for larger groups, so please park close together after filling it out. The movement to camp will leave the Gas Station around 11:00. The route to camp is a maintained gravel road with a light washboard and moderate rocky terrain. Lunch is on your own, so come prepared to have lunch on the go. We will camp at Bybee Creek Logging Camp in the Rogue Siskiyou National Forest. It will take about 3-4 hours once we leave the Rally Point to make it to camp, depending on our pace and how often we need to stop. Once we arrive at camp, guests are free to pick a spot and set up their tents. We will provide dinner on the first night of brats served on buns with chips and cold drinks. Please inform us if any dietary or other restrictions would prohibit you or a member of your group from consuming these menu options.

Sunday, May 26th: Team Overland will serve sausage, hash, and egg bowls around 9:00 am. After breakfast, there will be an opportunity to take a day trip to explore some local trail systems. Guests are free to join the guided day trip or hang back and relax at camp. Once the day trip returns, we will fire up the grill and cook tacos with beans, rice, chips, and salsa. Again, please inform us if any dietary or other restrictions would prohibit you or a member of your group from consuming these menu options.

Monday, May 27th: Team Overland will serve light donuts and coffee breakfast around 9:00 a.m. We will begin breaking camp and leave by about 11:00 a.m. and head back to Shady Cove. Team Overland subscribes to the "Leave no Trace" principles and expects all guests to comply by leaving the area trash-free.
